Purpose of the Role
To execute maintenance activities relating to asset care, equipment reliability, projects, modifications,
overhauls, spare parts management, and safety within the Brewing and Utilities areas, ensuring optimum
plant performance, equipment availability, and operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure full compliance with Safety, Statutory, Engineering, and Risk Management standards to
maintain a safe and reliable working environment. - Contribute to the development and execution of brewing and utilities maintenance plans to
support operational requirements. - Deliver engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through effective maintenance planning
and execution. - Improve asset reliability and performance through the execution of planned maintenance
activities, including shutdowns, overhauls, and equipment inspections, in collaboration with the
Asset Care Maintenance Planner. - Implement engineering best practices and provide technical input into site asset care and
continuous improvement initiatives. - Participate in site overhauls and maintenance projects, ensuring activities are completed safely, on
time, within specification, and within budget. - Optimize product quality through continuous monitoring, attention to detail, and adherence to
quality control standards, ensuring Right First Time (RFT) performance. - Identify, investigate, and respond promptly to equipment and process non-conformances,
applying and sharing learnings to prevent recurrence. - Manage maintenance materials, components, and spare parts effectively, ensuring proper stock
utilization, accountability, and control of issued inventory. - Collaborate effectively with Brewing, Utilities, Packaging, and Engineering teams to support plant
reliability and production performance.
Key Requirements – Qualifications, Experience, Skills etc.
- Degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in maintenance engineering within a food, beverage,
brewing, or FMCG manufacturing environment. - Membership of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) or an equivalent recognized
professional body is an advantage. - Proven supervisory or first-line leadership experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management systems.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, asset care, and equipment reliability principles.
- Effective resource planning and management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a complex manufacturing
environment.
