Purpose of the Role
The Senior Brand Manager for Beers and RTD is responsible for driving the day-to-day marketing, growth,
and brand stewardship of Guinness, Smirnoff Ice, and Orijin RTD in Ghana.
The role transforms consumer, shopper, and market insights into actionable brand plans and ensures each
brand delivers on its sales, profit, equity, and health metrics.
This is a senior operational leadership role focused on executional excellence, commercial impact, and
flawless brand building rather than general management oversight.


Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver annual brand plans for Guinness, Smirnoff Ice, and Orijin RTD. Build
    comprehensive marketing calendars—covering advertising, promotions, activations, and
    innovations and ensure timely, on-budget execution.
  • Drive the consumer and market insight agenda. Commission, interpret, and translate consumer,
    shopper, and industry data into strategies for brand positioning, product portfolio decisions,
    pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Continuously analyze market performance and consumer behaviour to refine brand positioning
    and optimize go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated campaigns across media, digital, experiential,
    and trade channels. Adapt global campaigns to the Ghanaian context to maximize local relevance
    and impact.
  • Manage brand P&Ls and marketing budgets, tracking performance and campaign effectiveness
    against agreed KPIs and reporting results to the Head of Category.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, trade marketing, innovation, finance, and supply chain
    to ensure alignment on distribution, pricing, and in-market execution.
  • Manage external agencies and partners to deliver world-class creative, media, digital, and
    activation outputs.
  • Identify and champion innovation and renovation opportunities. Lead the Navigate process to
    ensure timely and commercially successful product launches.
  • Ensure full compliance with Guinness Ghana Breweries Plc’s responsible drinking commitments,
    regulatory standards, and internal marketing codes.


    Key Requirements – Qualifications, Experience, Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years’ experience in brand marketing within an FMCG environment, ideally beverages.
  • Proven ability to develop brand plans, manage budgets, and evaluate marketing performance.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Solid understanding of digital and social media marketing and their role in integrated brand
    building
