Job Description

Amansie Rural Bank PLC is one of the leading and formidable rural bank in the Ashanti Region incorporated as a limited liability company under company’s Act 179 (Act 1963) as amended by Act 992 (Act 2019), wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified applicants for the position of a Security Co-ordinator

Job Purpose

•Develop, co-ordinate and evaluate security preparedness measures, security programmes and overall physical security and life safety issues of the bank and its branches

Key Duties/Responsibilities

•Ensure proper documentation of all occurrences within the Bank’s facilities
•Ensure that security personnel are aware of all security procedures and protocols
•Write and submit security reports on the of security in the bank on quarterly basis
•Provide training for security guards including routine fitness drills
•Co-ordinate the overall Bank’s security programmes and initiatives
•Implement and maintain security policies, procedures and standards to minimize risk associated with crime with the view to enhance safety of staff and customers of the bank
•Manage the deployment of adequate armed police and private security guards to the Bank’s facilities and operations
•Monitor and liaise with the IT department to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of electronic security installations including card Access and CCTV systems of the Bank
•Investigate external and internal security incidence as may be directed by management
•Liaise effectively with the Ghana Police Service within the Bank’s catchment areas to facilitate the deployment of police officers for both specie and guard duties
•Maintain an accurate inventory of security equipment, ensuring all equipment is in satisfactory working order
•Any other duty assigned by management

Qualification Required & Experience

•Must have a minimum of First Degree in a related field of study
•A minimum of 8 years working experience in the Officer category of a bank or corporate environment, state intelligence organisation, law enforcement or military-related field
•Strong demonstrable communication and negotiation skills and the ability to extract and analyse data for decision making purposes
•Demonstrable ability to establish and maintain professional network with law enforcement agencies and other Banks
•Ability to use Windows Office Suite software to support security projects and have understanding of alarm systems, card access systems, fire suppression systems, CCTV footage analysis and good knowledge of IT systems
•Ability to train Security Officers to equip them deliver on their duties
•Possess excellent customer service skills
