1. System Operation and Monitoring

• Continuously monitor CCTV systems, fire and intrusion alarms, access control points (gates, doors), and other electronic security systems to detect anomalies, threats, or safety concerns.

• Apply sound knowledge of modern security techniques, surveillance technologies, and control room best practices.

• Operate and navigate computer-based security management systems within the control room environment.

• Conduct basic troubleshooting of security systems and promptly escalate technical faults to the appropriate

2. Incident Response and Emergency Management

• Respond immediately to alarms, suspicious activities, and emergency situations by activating established response protocols.

• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire services, emergency responders, and on-site security personnel as required.

• Provide prompt telephone and email support to employees, clients, and contractors during incidents or operational needs.

• Maintain a high level of alertness and readiness to always respond to unexpected situations.

• Perform additional assigned duties during emergencies or crisis situations.

• Ensure the maintenance of a clean, organized control room and always uphold a professional personal appearance

3. Communication and Coordination

• Maintain clear and effective communication with field security personnel, management, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders via radio, telephone, and email.

• Issue and receive clear, accurate, and timely verbal and written instructions.

• Collaborate with other departments and product lines to support the organization’s strategic security objectives.

• Analyze security incidents and contribute to preparedness measures to mitigate future risks.

4. Record Keeping and Documentation

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of all security events, alarms, incidents, visitor movements, and dispatch activities.

• Monitor and manage Travel Journey Management (TJM) processes in line with company procedures.

• Accurately record visitor access, manage key issuance and returns, and control lost-and-found property.

• Implement, review, and maintain control room security policies, procedures, and operational guidelines as may be required.

5. System Checks and Preventive Monitoring

• Conduct routine operational checks to confirm the functionality of CCTV cameras, recording devices, software platforms, and associated systems.

• Ensure all system anomalies or faults are promptly reported to the line supervisor for corrective action.

• Prepare and submit timely reports on security status, incidents, and system performance for management review.

• Immediately report critical or high-risk incidents to the immediate Supervisor or designated authority.

• Compile detailed incident reports to support investigations, audits, and compliance requirements.

Working Experience and Educational/Academic Background

Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized university in Security, Criminology or any relevant discipline.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a security supervisory operation; prior service as a security officer required. Oil & gas industry experience with knowledge of security and HES processes is an advantage
