Role Purpose
The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships while ensuring effective channel distribution and strong brand positioning across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development & Channel Expansion
- Develop and expand distribution channels including wholesale, retail, HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants & Cafés), and institutional markets
- Achieve and maintain a balanced channel mix (40% wholesale / 30% retail / 20% HoReCa / 10% institutional)
Sales & Strategic Partnerships
- Secure framework contracts and offtake agreements with key partners
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts including processors, retailers, and institutions
Brand Development & FMCG Growth
- Lead product positioning and strengthen brand visibility across target markets
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain high customer satisfaction levels (Net Promoter Score ≥50)
- Drive customer retention with repeat business of ≥70%
Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
- Identify and penetrate new markets locally and within the ECOWAS region
- Expand distribution networks and optimize pricing strategies to maximize profitability
Qualifications & Experience
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in agribusiness, FMCG, or B2B sales environments
Key Success Metrics
- Minimum of 4 framework contracts secured annually
- Activation of at least 50 retail outlets
- Revenue growth of ≥25% year-on-year
- Strong customer retention and repeat business
