To support its expansion and drive market competitiveness, the company is seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth through the development and execution of effective sales and marketing strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in business growth, brand visibility, team development, and client relationship management. The Manager will also oversee contract negotiations, commercial activities, and provide regular reports to management to ensure targets are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Growth and Enhanced Profitability
- Develop and implement business growth strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed business targets.
- Improve revenue by identifying and outlining other business expansion opportunities that will drive and increase revenue growth.
- Embark on a customer expansion drive to ensure the onboarding of at least 5 clients per quarter from different industries to improve overall business profitability.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve business goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations.
2. Enhanced Brand Visibility
- Implement result-oriented marketing strategies aimed at improving brand visibility.
- Recommend and implement marketing campaigns and promotions to boost sales.
- Analyze market trends and customers’ needs to inform management decisions on pricing and service offerings.
- Manage the company’s online presence, including website, social media, and email campaigns.
- Optimize digital marketing efforts to generate leads and drive conversions.
- Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Represent the company to build partnerships and explore new business opportunities.
3. Team Development and Management
- Develop an ideal team for success in the commercial department.
- Define realistic and achievable KPIs for each team member and track performance to measure success.
- Train and mentor team members.
- Complete annual performance reviews.
4. Commercial
- Negotiate and review contracts.
- Recognize business opportunities and put together bids to win new business.
5. Reporting
- Provide reports to the Managing Director every week on the performance of the sales and marketing team and the overall commercial strategy of the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and people management experience.
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the freight and logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
