Position Summary

The Sales and Marketing Manager will lead and oversee all sales and marketing initiatives across the company’s diverse business portfolio, including civil construction, infrastructure, fleet services, and trading operations. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening market presence, developing high-impact marketing strategies, and building strong client relationships within Ghana’s construction and business services sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales & Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies
  • Set revenue targets across all business divisions
  • Design market penetration strategies for new and existing services
  • Identify new business opportunities and emerging market segments
  • Develop competitive positioning and compelling value propositions
  • Lead annual sales planning and budgeting processes

Sales Management

  • Lead and manage the sales team across divisions
  • Develop structured sales processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Set individual and team sales targets
  • Monitor sales pipelines and forecast revenue
  • Track and evaluate sales performance
  • Implement sales training and development initiatives

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, institutions, and corporate clients
  • Pursue government and institutional contracts
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade exhibitions
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns
  • Manage brand positioning and corporate identity
  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives (website, social media, SEO)
  • Plan and execute advertising campaigns
  • Develop marketing collateral and sales materials
  • Manage public relations and media engagements

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage key accounts and maintain strong client relationships
  • Conduct regular client meetings and performance reviews
  • Address and resolve client concerns effectively
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Develop and implement client retention strategies

Proposal & Tender Management

  • Lead preparation of proposals and tender submissions
  • Coordinate with technical teams on project proposals
  • Develop pricing strategies and commercial terms
  • Ensure compliance with tender requirements
  • Present proposals and negotiate contracts

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities
  • Conduct customer needs assessments
  • Analyze pricing strategies and industry developments
  • Prepare monthly sales and marketing reports
  • Track KPIs and recommend strategic adjustments
  • Present performance reports to executive management

Budget & Team Leadership

  • Prepare and manage the marketing budget
  • Monitor return on investment (ROI) and campaign effectiveness
  • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales and marketing team
  • Set performance objectives and conduct evaluations
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field
  • MBA or professional marketing certification (e.g., CIM) is highly preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Proven track record in B2B sales and business development
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, or related industries is an advantage
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience managing sales and marketing teams
