Job Purpose

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and successfully delivering construction projects from inception through completion. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards while effectively managing stakeholders, contractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Developing project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Supervising site engineers and project teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Coordinating activities with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Managing project costs, risks, and procurement processes to achieve project objectives.
  • Preparing and presenting regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identifying project challenges and implementing effective solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental, and health and safety requirements.
  • Leading project meetings and maintaining effective communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery performance.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience in construction project management.
  • Professional certification in project management, preferably Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Project and related applications.
  • Strong knowledge of construction project planning, execution, and monitoring processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and team coordination capabilities.
