Jachin Foods Industries Ltd. is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals to join our dynamic production team as a Mechanical Engineer. We are seeking a proactive professional who will support the production function by ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining quality standards, minimizing spoilage, and contributing to the development of junior team members.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical and operational support to the Production Department to ensure that production objectives relating to efficiency, quality, spoilage reduction, and process optimization are achieved. The successful candidate will also play a mentoring role by providing guidance and training to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Support production operations to ensure smooth and uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
• Monitor and improve production efficiency and equipment performance.
• Identify and implement measures to reduce spoilage and material wastage during production.
• Ensure compliance with established quality standards and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues affecting production machinery and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize machine utilization and productivity.
• Assist in preventive maintenance planning and execution to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and operational performance.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes.
• Train, coach, and mentor junior staff to improve technical competence and operational effectiveness.
• Observe and promote adherence to workplace health and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must possess the following:

• Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably within the biscuit manufacturing industry or a similar food manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to take responsibility and ownership of assigned tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
