Job Description

Are you passionate about digital media, entertainment trends, storytelling, and online culture? We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Journalist / Researcher / Script Writer to join our growing digital media and podcast platform.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in researching trending stories, developing engaging discussion topics, writing scripts and summaries, fact-checking information, and supporting presenters with high-quality content preparation for digital platforms and podcast productions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research trending stories, viral topics, and online conversations across digital platforms
  • Prepare engaging discussion topics, scripts, summaries, and talking points for podcasts and media content
  • Fact-check information and ensure content accuracy before publication or broadcast
  • Assist presenters and content creators with research and production support
  • Monitor entertainment news, celebrity updates, sports discussions, fashion, lifestyle, and social media trends
  • Identify viral and audience-engaging content opportunities
  • Contribute creative storytelling ideas and content strategies
  • Stay updated on emerging digital media trends and audience interests
  • Support content planning and editorial coordination within the team

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in journalism, content writing, blogging, podcasting, script writing, or digital media
  • Strong research, writing, and storytelling skills
  • Good understanding of entertainment, digital culture, and online trends
  • Ability to identify viral topics and audience interests
  • Strong communication and creative thinking abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Passion for digital media and fast-paced online content environments

Technical Skills & Added Advantages

Knowledge or experience with the following tools/platforms will be an advantage:
