A reputable public sector organization responsible for overseeing and implementing large-scale national development programmes is seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to join its team.
The institution manages government and internationally funded projects aimed at promoting economic growth, strengthening critical infrastructure, and improving service delivery across key sectors. Working in collaboration with government ministries, private sector partners, and international development organizations, the institution delivers high-impact initiatives including national energy reforms and major socio-economic development programmes.

Role Overview
The IT Manager will lead the organization’s technology strategy, infrastructure management, and digital transformation initiatives. The role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT systems while supporting organizational objectives through innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Operations
- Maintain, monitor, and upgrade the organization’s IT infrastructure including hardware, software, servers, networks, websites, and cloud systems to ensure maximum system uptime and efficiency.
- Manage LAN and WAN networks, servers, storage systems, and data center infrastructure.
- Oversee help desk operations to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Strategic Planning & Budgeting
- Develop and implement IT policies, strategies, and technology roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
- Prepare and manage annual IT budgets and technology investments.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures including firewalls, antivirus solutions, data backup systems, and disaster recovery frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and data protection regulations.
Project Management & Digital Transformation
- Lead IT projects from planning to implementation, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Design and implement enterprise systems to support programme planning, stakeholder engagement, capital mobilization, and performance reporting.
- Develop integrated systems for workflow management, compliance tracking, and audit readiness.
- Implement enterprise CRM platforms and stakeholder management systems.
- Design business intelligence dashboards and automated management reporting tools to support executive decision-making.
AI & Process Automation
- Identify opportunities to implement automation and AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency, reporting, and knowledge management while maintaining compliance with data governance standards.
Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, mentor, and supervise IT staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide technical guidance and support across departments on technology-related initiatives.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and negotiate service agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement technology solutions that meet operational needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of information systems.
- Extensive experience managing:
- Server and network infrastructure
- Data center systems (power, cooling, storage, and servers)
- Firewall administration and backup solutions
- Windows Server, VMware, and Windows Desktop environments
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and enterprise system management.
- Demonstrated experience implementing CRM platforms and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce, Dynamics, or similar systems).
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives and integrating finance, programme, and reporting systems.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance, and responsible AI deployment in organizational settings.
- Experience designing scalable cloud-based technology solutions aligned with organizational strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
