Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced HR Superintendent to support strategic HR operations and enhance organizational efficiency. The role involves aligning HR practices with business objectives, strengthening industrial relations, and fostering a high-performance culture through structured HR systems and proactive employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR & Business Partnering

  • Support HR policy development and implementation aligned with organizational goals
  • Act as an HR Business Partner to departmental heads on workforce-related matters
  • Assist in talent management, succession planning, and workforce development

Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement

  • Serve as the primary liaison with Union executives to maintain industrial harmony
  • Address employee concerns proactively to prevent escalation
  • Facilitate employee counselling on workplace and personal issues
  • Support employee engagement and change management initiatives

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Coordinate annual performance management processes, including target setting and evaluations
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and provide actionable insights
  • Maintain regular reporting to the Admin & HR Manager

Disciplinary & Governance Processes

  • Participate in Disciplinary Committee proceedings
  • Record proceedings and prepare official reports and correspondence
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of disciplinary procedures

Training & Development

  • Support training programs and HR policy sensitization initiatives
  • Assist in designing and delivering training aligned with organizational needs and RSPO SOPs

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

  • Serve as Chairman of the School Management Committee for Socfinaf D/A Basic School
  • Participate in quarterly meetings and contribute to community-related initiatives

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities (HSE)

  • Ensure compliance with RSPO and ISO 14001:2015 standards
  • Promote safe working practices and environmental sustainability
  • Adhere to PPE usage and safety protocols
  • Report incidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions promptly
  • Participate in safety training, toolbox meetings, and investigations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CHIRM, PHRi) is required
  • Minimum of six (6) years’ post–National Service experience in HR management

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of Ghana Labour Laws
  • Experience in training design and facilitation
  • Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
