Qualifications, Experience & Skills Competence (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in  Human Resource Management from a reputable institution.
  2. A minimum of three (3) years’ post-qualification work experience in Human Resource Management.
  3. Professional certification from a recognized HR body (SHRM, CIHRM, PHRI) is an added advantage.
  4. Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, automated payroll platforms and data analysis software.
  5. Good knowledge of the Ghana Labor Act and Ghanaian Tax Laws relating to employment.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

  1. A clear understanding of core functions of HR Management & Development with the ability to provide strategic HR Support.
  2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and metrics.
  4. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  6. Good people management skills.
  7. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  8. Proficiency in the use of payroll systems and HR applications.
  9. Ability to communicate in French is an added advantage but is not mandatory.

 E. Key Task 

Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding

  1. Assist in managing the end-to-end  recruitment process, including job advertising, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
  2. Draft employment offers and prepare employment contracts in compliance with the Ghana Labour Act.
  3. Coordinate and oversee induction programmes for new employees to facilitate their smooth integration into the Company’s culture and operations.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  1. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and well-being.
  2. Assist in the development and review of HR policies and procedures.

Learning & Development

  1. Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training programmes.
  2. Monitor and track employee learning and development progress.
  3. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

  1. Assist in administering employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, retirement schemes, and leave administration.
  2. Assist in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  3. Assist in benchmarking compensation levels against industry standards and recommend adjustments where necessary.
  4. Ensure compliance with applicable compensation and employment legislation.

Workforce Planning & HR Administration 

HumanResources

  1. Assist in the preparation of duty rosters for operational departments.
  2. Prepare HR reports, including interview reports, weekly reports, quarterly reports, and end-of-year reports.
  3. Perform general administrative duties, including filing, record keeping, document preparation, and printing.
  4. Maintain and update employee records and personnel files.

HR Analytics & Compliance

  1. Assist in analysing HR data and preparing reports on key HR metrics to support decision-making.
  2. Ensure HR processes comply with applicable labour laws and internal policies.

Other Responsibilities

Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
