Qualifications, Experience & Skills Competence (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from a reputable institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ post-qualification work experience in Human Resource Management.
- Professional certification from a recognized HR body (SHRM, CIHRM, PHRI) is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, automated payroll platforms and data analysis software.
- Good knowledge of the Ghana Labor Act and Ghanaian Tax Laws relating to employment.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- A clear understanding of core functions of HR Management & Development with the ability to provide strategic HR Support.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and metrics.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good people management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in the use of payroll systems and HR applications.
- Ability to communicate in French is an added advantage but is not mandatory.
E. Key Task
Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding
- Assist in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including job advertising, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Draft employment offers and prepare employment contracts in compliance with the Ghana Labour Act.
- Coordinate and oversee induction programmes for new employees to facilitate their smooth integration into the Company’s culture and operations.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and well-being.
- Assist in the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
Learning & Development
- Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating training programmes.
- Monitor and track employee learning and development progress.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
- Assist in administering employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, retirement schemes, and leave administration.
- Assist in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Assist in benchmarking compensation levels against industry standards and recommend adjustments where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with applicable compensation and employment legislation.
Workforce Planning & HR Administration
HumanResources
- Assist in the preparation of duty rosters for operational departments.
- Prepare HR reports, including interview reports, weekly reports, quarterly reports, and end-of-year reports.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, record keeping, document preparation, and printing.
- Maintain and update employee records and personnel files.
HR Analytics & Compliance
- Assist in analysing HR data and preparing reports on key HR metrics to support decision-making.
- Ensure HR processes comply with applicable labour laws and internal policies.
Other Responsibilities
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
