Job Description

Role Purpose: The HR & Business Compliance Officer serves as the independent governance anchor of the HCP HR Outsourcing Business Line, ensuring that all operations are conducted in full compliance with labour laws, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. 

This role provides oversight across all functions maintaining policy integrity, managing employee relations processes, conducting compliance audits, and safeguarding the organisation against legal and regulatory risks. The role operates with independence, objectivity, and authority to escalate concerns at all levels.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enforce HR policies and compliance frameworks across the organisation.
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance processes in line with legal requirements.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and ensure timely compliance.
  • Review contracts and agreements for legal and compliance risks.
  • Conduct internal audits and drive corrective actions.
  • Manage whistleblowing processes and uphold ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate the annual performance review process.
  • Ensure monthlystatutory regulatory requirements (FIRS, LIRS, PENCOM, NSITF, NDPC, Ministry of Labour, National Industrial Court) are submitted to Lead Consultant.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in HR, compliance, governance, or employment law.
  • Proven experience managing disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Experience in regulatory monitoring and compliance management.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and reviewing commercial contracts.
  • Experience in outsourcing or professional services environment is an added advantage.
