Job Description

A reputable Savings and Loans company is seeking to recruit professionals with a demonstrated track record in the following role: Deputy Head of Finance

The Deputy Head of Finance reports to the Head of Finance and is responsible for the following:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Regulatory Compliance
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Internal controls & Risk Management
• Team support & Development

Performance Indicators:

• Timeliness and accuracy of financial statements
• Quality and relevance of financial analysis provided to management
• Compliance with regulatory submission timelines and standards
• Strength of financial controls and risk management practices
• Development and performance of supervised finance staff

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field is an advantage
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g, ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in Accounting/Finance, with at least 2 yeas in a supervisory role
• Experience in banking or financial services strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, prudential reporting standards and regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Excellent knowledge of accounting systems, preferably core banking/MIS integration
• Ability to present complex financial information clearly to management and non-finance stakeholders
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint presentation
