Job Description

The Ghana Wildlife Society, a national conservation and research NGO, is seeking to recruit a highly
motivated and committed professional to lead the organisation as its Executive Director. The position
provides vision and strategic direction for the growth of the Society and ensures effective delivery of its
nature and environmental conservation programmes.
Qualifications, experience and skills-set

  • A higher degree (minimum MPhil) in natural resource management, biological sciences,
    geography and resource development or any other relevant field.
  • Relevant professional experience, including working with and/or managing civil society
    organisation, with at least 5 years in a senior management position and proven leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated success in grant proposal development and resource mobilisation for projects,
    familiarity with donor agencies and managing multiple donor-funded projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Passion for, and commitment to nature conservation.
