Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Technician to lead the maintenance and upkeep of all electrical installations within our facility. The successful candidate will ensure optimal functionality, safety, and compliance of electrical systems while also providing general technical support services, including assistance with crematorium operations where required.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical & General Services
- Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using appropriate tools.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Support the installation of electrical equipment, including projects led by third-party vendors.
- Conduct proactive fault detection and troubleshooting on electrical systems.
- Inspect electrical components and systems to identify hazards, defects, or required repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Advise management on potential risks associated with continued use of faulty equipment.
- Repair or replace defective wiring, equipment, and fixtures as needed.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare technical reports, and manage inventory of tools, materials, and supplies.
- Provide preliminary cost estimates for maintenance and repair works.
- Ensure high standards of safety, housekeeping, and workplace organization.
- Respond to site-related technical issues and queries promptly.
Crematorium Support
- Assist in the operation of cremation equipment in line with established procedures and standards.
- Ensure the cremation chamber is maintained in proper working condition.
- Support the execution of scheduled cremation activities with professionalism and care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant certification in Electrical Engineering, Technical Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Electrical Technician role.
