Job Purpose

As part of its growth strategy, AGROPAL seeks to strengthen its Maintenance Department by recruiting a skilled and committed Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will support efficient plant operations through effective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Conducting routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment used in production
• Promptly responding to electrical faults and breakdowns to minimize production downtime
• Performing preventive maintenance in line with approved schedules
• Maintaining electrical components of boilers, dryers, conveyors, cooling systems, packaging machines, motors, and control panels
• Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment
• Adhering strictly to electrical safety standards, factory safety procedures, and hygiene requirements
• Ensuring compliance with relevant electrical and food processing regulations
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Collaborating closely with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Trade Certificate (NVTI) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Skills & Competencies

• Basic industrial electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
• Sound knowledge of electrical safety practices
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Working Conditions
