Berves Engineering Limited is an astute Engineering company in Ghana, offering mine support services to most of the notable mining companies here in Ghana. With specialization in welding & fabrication, corrosion protection, structure & tank works, scaffolding, and civil works, Berves aims to deliver safe, sustainable, high-quality projects with a focus on effective leadership, safety, sustainability, integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement. Berves is currently operational with offices in five locations in Ghana and this job would be centered in and around our Obuasi operations.

Job Overview
Berves Engineering Limited is looking to hire a strategic, influential, skilled, and competent individual who will set strategy, drive operations, manage budget per project, and oversee the teams’ activities to ensure growth and financial targets are met while, aligning divisional goals with the overall vision of Berves through leadership, innovation, stakeholder communication, project monitoring and performance management. Some key duties shall include but not limited to strategic planning, operational efficiency, budget control, team development, and reporting to Senior Executives.

Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: provide mentorship to leaders, foster talent growth, drive innovation, and manage all teams to achieve goals.
2. Operational Management: oversee daily operations, implement best practices, optimize processes, and ensure performance metrics are met.
3. Financial Oversight: manage division budgets, allocate resources, and ensure profitability and financial compliance.
4. Stakeholder/Clients Relations: collaborate with senior executives and clients on site to report on progress of jobs.
5. Strategic Leadership: develop and execute division strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, and identify growth opportunities.
6. Project Oversight: strictly monitor project timelines to ensure compliance and client satisfaction
7. Lobby, follow-up and ensure the presence of Berves is visible on clients’ site

Education, Person Specification, Skills & Requirements
1. Minimum of a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
2. A masters degree would be more advantageous
3. Certification and a strong understanding of Project Management
4. Hands-on experience in managing mechanical, and civil engineering projects
5. Minimum of 5 years managerial role in the Engineering/Mining industry
6. Proven track record in driving profitable growth and managing complex operations
7. Excellent leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
