Our client is a well-known entrepreneur, investor, and author who produces high-volume educational and lifestyle content for founders and business professionals. Their brand focuses on empowering entrepreneurs through insights, speaking engagements, and behind-the-scenes content from events, panels, and daily life. With a large existing content library, including keynote speeches, interviews, and recorded events, the team is seeking a Social Media Content Manager who can transform long-form material into engaging short-form content while supporting a consistent daily social media presence.

Role Overview

The Content Creator & Video Editor will transform long-form content such as keynote speeches, interviews, and event recordings into engaging short-form videos for social media platforms. This role focuses on maintaining a consistent posting cadence, identifying relevant social media trends, and proactively generating content ideas that resonate with an entrepreneurial audience. The ideal candidate is highly familiar with short-form video formats, comfortable using AI-powered editing tools, and able to produce high-quality content with quick turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

Short-Form Content Creation

  • Edit long-form content such as keynote speeches, interviews, and panel discussions into engaging short-form videos.
  • Create Instagram Reels and short-form videos optimized for social media platforms.
  • Add captions, subtitles, and visual elements that improve engagement.

Trend Monitoring & Content Ideation

  • Stay up to date with social media trends across Instagram, TikTok, and other short-form video platforms.
  • Identify trending formats and proactively suggest new content ideas.
  • Quickly produce trend-based content aligned with the brand’s voice.

Social Media Content Management

  • Working from an existing and continuously growing library of long-form content — keynote speeches, interviews, and event recordings — you will consistently produce two short-form videos per day for publishing. Source material is provided; your role is identifying the best moments, editing for platform-native formats, and maintaining the publishing cadence.
  • Write short captions aligned with the brand’s tone and voice.
  • Prepare content for publishing and coordinate approvals with the team.
  • Create and maintain a social media content calendar.
  • Share the content calendar every Monday for the upcoming week for review.

Content Repurposing

  • Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form clips.
  • Adapt content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Ensure content is optimized for each platform’s format and best practices.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience producing short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts — with a portfolio demonstrating consistent publishing cadence, trend responsiveness, and brand-aligned content.
  • Experience editing video content using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms.
  • Experience using AI-powered tools for video editing or content repurposing is highly preferred.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of social media trends and short-form video formats.
  • Ability to produce high-quality content with quick turnaround times.
  • Strong attention to visual storytelling, pacing, and audience engagement.
  • Proactive and creative mindset with the ability to bring new ideas to the team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced content environment.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple content tasks simultaneously.
