Description
The Civil/Structural Engineer is responsible for designing and analysing structural components of construction projects, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves creating detailed designs and drawings, coordinating with other disciplines, and managing quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
The duties of the Civil/Structural engineer shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Undertake all structural analysis and design.
2. Production of preliminary concept drawings and details.
3. Preparation of structural calculation and design reports.
4. Production of IFC [Issue for Construction] structural drawings.
5. Production of As-built drawings.
6. Preparation of project Structural material specifications.
7. Review and query design details and peer reports from external consultants.
8. Review and approval of construction materials (grade strength and technical specifications).
9. Review of test results.
10. Ensure Quality control on site (site inspection).
11. Design and project coordination with other disciplines (MEP, Architectural, and Geotechnical etc.)
12. Prepare method statement of Structural repair/ remedial works.
13. Coordinate site reconnaissance surveys.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of working experience.
Software proficiency:
1. Autodesk AutoCAD [Mandatory]
2. Autodesk Revit
3. At least one (1) structural analysis and design software [Mandatory]
4. Microsoft Excel
