Automation & Control Systems Engineer – Capetano Limited
Job Description
Capetano Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automation & Control Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering industrial automation, instrumentation, and control system solutions across the oil & gas, power, manufacturing, mining, and process industries.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, configure, and commission industrial automation and control systems.
• Develop PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI applications.
• Perform installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
• Support system upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
• Prepare engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and technical proposals.
• Carry out site surveys, FAT, SAT, and system commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support and training to clients where required.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and health & safety requirements.
Requirements
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
✔ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial automation or process control.
✔ Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
• Yokogawa CENTUM VP / ProSafe RS
• Siemens
• Schneider Electric
• Allen-Bradley (Rockwell)
• Honeywell
✔ Good understanding of:
• PLC Programming
• DCS Architecture
• SCADA Systems
• Industrial Networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, HART)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Yokogawa systems is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety (SIS) and IEC 61511.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Power, Water Treatment, Mining, or Manufacturing industries.
• Relevant OEM certifications will be an added advantage.
