Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Auto Service Engineer (Auto-electrical) located in Accra. The Service Engineer (auto-electrical) will be responsible for providing technical support, performing maintenance and repair tasks, troubleshooting issues, and delivering field service specifically on electrical and electronic related issues. The role includes extensive training in Hybrid & Electric vehicle powertrain systems.

Qualifications

  • HND (Higher National Diploma) or higher in Automobile/Electrical Engineering (Auto-electrical option) or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated history in vehicle software troubleshooting & diagnostics, with strong knowledge of toggling OBD II–III, ECU, and BCM systems.
  • Proven ability in general vehicle troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills.
  • Hands-on experience in part replacement, programming, and calibration.
  • Knowledge and experience in maintenance and overhaul of high-voltage (HV) systems, including battery packs, inverters, and DC-DC converters.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting software and hardware issues related to EV control systems using diagnostic tools (e.g., OBD-II/III scanners, OEM-specific software).
  • Previous field service and technical support experience.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Familiarity with automotive electrical safety standards and best practices for handling high-voltage components.
  • Experience in the automotive electrical field is an added advantage.
