About Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd.

Cardinal Namdini Mining Ltd. (CNML) is a subsidiary of Shandong Gold Mining Co. Ltd., a company listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE).

CNML is developing its flagship gold mining project in Ghana’s Upper East Region, with a strategic vision of building a world-class, responsible, and highly valuable gold mining enterprise.

Job Purpose

The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for managing outgoing payments by ensuring the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices. The role requires maintaining strong vendor relationships, reconciling accounts, and ensuring strict compliance with internal financial controls and procurement policies.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice Processing & Documentation

  • Accurately capture all supplier invoices into the accounting system and maintain proper supporting documentation.
  • Perform three-way matching (invoice, purchase order, and goods received note/packing slip).
  • Process applicable tax payments in accordance with statutory requirements.

Vendor Account Management

  • Analyze vendor accounts and review ageing reports; escalate overdue accounts to the Supervisor.
  • Reconcile vendor statements monthly against the company ledger and resolve discrepancies.
  • Liaise with vendors, procurement, and warehouse teams to resolve pricing or quantity mismatches.
  • Review Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) reports and follow up on outstanding items.

Month-End & Audit Support

  • Support month-end closing activities, including accruals and journal entries.
  • Assist in audit preparations by providing required documentation to external auditors.

General Duties

  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor in line with business needs.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Professional certification (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA) or active pursuit of same is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven experience in accounts payable or general accounting.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of statutory tax requirements.
  • Proficiency in Chinese language is an added advantage.
