Position Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the organization’s day-to-day accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining financial records, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting sound financial decision-making through accurate reporting, financial analysis, and effective internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate financial documentation.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare management reports and financial analyses to support decision-making.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory reports and tax obligations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable financial regulations and accounting standards.

ERP & Systems Management

  • Utilize the organization’s ERP system to record and manage financial transactions.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data within the ERP platform.
  • Support system improvements and recommend process enhancements where necessary.
  • Assist users with finance-related ERP processes when required.

Budgeting & Analysis

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor departmental expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency and cost control.

Internal Controls

  • Ensure effective financial controls and accounting procedures are maintained.
  • Monitor financial processes to minimize errors and reduce operational risks.
  • Support the implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • Certified Chartered Accountant qualification (ACCA, ICA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 4–5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
  • Proven experience managing accounting functions within a corporate environment.
  • Experience using ERP systems in a business environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP will be a significant advantage.

  • ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics (preferred).
  • Financial reporting and accounting software.
