As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the company’s financial integrity by managing accounting records, preparing financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting sound financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate financial records and recording all accounting transactions.
- Preparing monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
- Processing invoices, supplier payments, and employee expense claims accurately and promptly.
- Monitoring departmental budgets and helping control operational costs.
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and statutory filing requirements.
- Assisting with internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accurate financial documentation.
- Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
- Preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
- Supporting payroll processing and ensuring timely financial reporting.
- Assisting in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensuring compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Performing any other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting certification (ACCA, ICA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
