AC Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning and ventilation systems, including
  split units, central ACs, chillers, and exhaust systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems and carry out necessary
  repairs or replacements.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of all cooling
  systems in factory and administrative areas.
• Monitor and maintain refrigerant levels, clean filters, coils, and condensers regularly.
• Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Record all maintenance and repair work completed, and report any major issues to the
  Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist in the procurement of spare parts and tools when necessary.
• Collaborate with the electrical and mechanical maintenance teams on cross-functional
  issues affecting factory equipment and facility comfort.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or service requests to minimize downtime.

  Qualifications & Experience:
• Technical/Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or a
  related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an AC Technician, preferably in an
  industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in AC maintenance.
• Certification from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or relevant authority is an
  added advantage.
