Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and proactive professionals to join our team in the sorghum value chain sector. Candidates must have strong procurement experience and a working knowledge of commodity sourcing, pricing dynamics, aggregation systems, and farmer engagement.

.Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead and manage the procurement operations for sorghum, ensuring efficient and cost-effective sourcing.
✅ Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with market trends and company objectives.
✅ Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and long-term supplier partnerships.
✅ Supervise and mentor the Procurement Officer and field sourcing teams.
✅ Track and analyze sorghum market data, pricing cycles, and supply risks.
✅ Coordinate with finance, logistics, warehousing, and production teams to ensure alignment on inventory and cost forecasts.
✅ Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
✅ Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Agribusiness, or related field; professional certification (CIPS, MCIPS) is an advantage.
✅ Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management.
✅ Strong background in agribusiness, grain sourcing, or the sorghum value chain.
✅ Proven leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
✅ Experience working with farmer groups, aggregators, and commodity markets.
✅ Ability to manage multiple sourcing locations and deliver results under pressure.
