Feedback is a Gift

Many leaders shy away from giving or receiving feedback โ€” afraid it might ruffle feathers or dent their confidence.

Leaders grow by giving and receiving feedback โ€” not avoiding it.
Avoiding feedback doesnโ€™t protect teams โ€” it stunts them.
Growth, clarity, and performance live on the other side of honest conversations.
Create a feedback culture where honesty is appreciated and normalized.

Break it down like this:
๐™Ž๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ช๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ: Describe the context.
โ€œDuring yesterdayโ€™s client meetingโ€ฆโ€

๐˜ฝ๐™š๐™๐™–๐™ซ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ง:: State what the person did.
โ€œโ€ฆyou interrupted the client a few times mid-sentenceโ€ฆโ€

๐™„๐™ข๐™ฅ๐™–๐™˜๐™ฉ: Share how it affected others or the outcome.
โ€œโ€ฆwhich made it harder to understand their needs and may have impacted our relationship.โ€

Itโ€™s clear. Itโ€™s specific. It focuses on actions and not personality.

Say things like:
โœ… โ€œWhatโ€™s one thing I could improve as your leader?โ€
โœ… โ€œHow did my approach in that meeting land with you?โ€

Think back to your journey:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Who gave you feedback that shifted how you lead, communicate, or think?
๐Ÿ‘‰ Have you thanked them?
Leadership isn’t about being perfect , it’s about being open.
Letโ€™s normalize feedback. Letโ€™s grow together.
