Assist the Finance Manager in investing and monitoring pension funds, and prepare periodic management, regulatory, investment, and financial reports for the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Liaise with Fund Managers and Custodians regarding the investment of pension funds.
• Follow up on Portfolio Valuation Reports (PVRs) from Fund Managers and reconcile fund positions at the end of each calendar month.
• Prepare periodic reports on the investment of pension funds by Fund Managers for the attention of the Finance Manager.
• Prepare periodic reports on the fund positions of the various pension schemes in the approved format for submission to the National Pensions Regulatory Authority.
• Assist in the preparation of the company’s periodic financial reports.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of scheme custody accounts.
• Perform any other relevant accounting or investment duties as may be assigned by the Finance Manager from time to time.
Reporting Relationships:
• Report directly to the Finance Manager and provide updates on all matters relating to the investment of pension funds and the company’s accounts.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional accounting certification.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of statutory requirements governing the investment of pension funds.
• Knowledge of Ghanaian tax regulations.
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
