Job location: Tamale, Ghana

AAK is looking for a hands-on Fleet Manager to take ownership of a large and critical fleet operation in Ghana. This is a high-impact role for someone who can bring structure, efficiency, and strong leadership to a growing logistics environment.

About the role
You will be responsible for managing AAK’s fleet operations, ensuring optimal utilisation, safety, maintenance, and cost control. Working closely with the Country Manager and cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in improving performance across a complex and field-based transport operation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day fleet operations (trucks, vehicles, and equipment)
• Improve utilisation, route planning, and overall efficiency
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and workshop performance
• Drive safety, compliance, and driver training initiatives
• Monitor and optimise fleet-related costs
• Build reporting, KPIs, and data-driven decision-making
• Lead drivers, workshop teams, and support staff

Candidate profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fleet or transport management
• Master’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related
• Strong leadership experience managing drivers and technical teams
• Solid technical understanding of vehicles and maintenance
• Experience with fleet systems, tracking, and reporting
• Able to bring structure and improve processes in a dynamic environment
• Comfortable working in a rural, operational setting
