Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and proactive professionals to join our team in the sorghum value chain sector. Candidates must have strong procurement experience and a working knowledge of commodity sourcing, pricing dynamics, aggregation systems, and farmer engagement.


Key Responsibilities:
✅ Conduct field-level sourcing of sorghum from farmers, aggregators, and suppliers.
✅ Support the end-to-end procurement process, including vendor identification, negotiation, and contract management.
✅ Monitor daily sorghum stock levels, quality parameters, and delivery timelines.
✅ Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely aggregation and movement of commodities.
✅ Maintain procurement records, track expenses, and support budget compliance.
✅ Build strong relationships with farmer groups, aggregators, and community partners.

Qualifications & Experience:
✅ Degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, or related field.
✅ Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in procurement; experience in the sorghum or broader grains industry is an advantage.
✅ Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
✅ Ability to work in field environments and rural communities.
Strong understanding of commodity pricing, quality grades, and market dynamics.
✅ Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement documentation.
