Job Vacancy: Policy Grants Stakeholder Engagement Manager
Reports to: General Manager, Rpet Recycling Plant
Duty Post: Rpet Recycling Plant, Tema Freezone


Key Responsibilities
Policy Advocacy & Regulatory Affairs

• Monitor and analyze environmental policies, regulations, and legislation related to plastic waste
  management and recycling.
• Support the development and implementation of policy advocacy strategies that promote circular
  economy practices.
• Engage with regulators, policymakers, and industry bodies to support sustainable packaging and
  recycling initiatives.
• Represent the organization in environmental policy discussions, working groups, and industry
  associations.
• Provide internal policy updates and regulatory guidance to ensure compliance with
  environmental laws and standards.
  
  
  Grant Management & Program Funding
• Identify grant opportunities and funding sources from development agencies, foundations, and
  sustainability programs.
• Prepare grant proposals, concept notes, budgets, and funding applications.
• Manage grant-funded sustainability programs including planning, implementation, monitoring,
  and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, reporting standards, and financial accountability.
• Track program performance and deliver impact reports to stakeholders and donors.
  Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders across the recycling value chain
  including:
  ✓ Government agencies and regulators
  ✓ Recycling companies and waste management operators
  ✓ NGOs and environmental organizations
  ✓ Development partners and donor institutions
  ✓ Industry associations and sustainability platforms
  ✓ Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and multi-sector engagement initiatives.
  ✓ Support community-based recycling initiatives and plastic collection programs.
  ✓ Facilitate collaboration to strengthen plastic recovery and recycling systems.
  ✓ Coordinate community and industry engagement programs that support plastic
  collection and recycling.
  
  
  Data, Reporting & ESG Compliance
• Track environmental performance indicators including plastic recovery and recycling volumes.
• Maintain records and documentation for regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting.
• Support ESG reporting and sustainability disclosures.
• Provide insights to improve environmental performance and recycling outcomes.
  
  
  Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Public Policy, Development Studies,
  or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 5–8year experience in sustainability, environmental policy, circular economy, or
  development programs.
• Experience in plastic recycling, waste management, packaging sustainability, or EPR programs is
  highly desirable.
• Proven experience in grant writing, donor management, or development funding.
• Strong understanding of environmental policy and regulatory frameworks.
