Job Description

Location: Remote (Home-based in Ghana, with occasional domestic travel)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Creative Manager
Salary: GHS 2,000 – GHS 4,000 per month

About EduSpots

EduSpots is an innovative and community-driven charity registered in both the United Kingdom and Ghana. The organization connects, trains, and equips grassroots voluntary educators—known as Catalysts—to lead community-driven change through locally established education spaces called Spots.

Since 2016, EduSpots has collaborated with over 400 community educators, supporting 50 communities to create and manage community-led learning spaces. These initiatives provide educational opportunities to over 10,000 learners annually, typically aged 3–16, through programmes such as:

  • EduKidz – Early years education
  • DigLit – Digital literacy
  • EcoSTEM – STEM and environmental education
  • Ignite Equity – Gender equity initiatives

Role Overview

EduSpots is seeking a creative and talented Graphic Designer to support the organization’s communication and outreach efforts during an exciting phase of growth.

The successful candidate will play a key role in visually communicating EduSpots’ mission and programmes to a wide range of stakeholders including volunteers, donors, and community partners.

This role requires a designer who can work independently while producing high-quality visual materials for both digital and print platforms, ensuring consistency with EduSpots’ brand identity and messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Visual Content

  • Execute daily graphic design tasks to support organizational communication and programme needs.
  • Develop visually compelling designs for both print and digital platforms, including presentations, documents, and online communications.
  • Design marketing and promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, and campaign assets.
  • Produce engaging digital content and marketing visuals for online platforms.

Educational Resource Development

  • Collaborate with the education team to design high-quality educational materials, including flashcards, handbooks, certificates, and learning guides.
  • Support the creation of visually engaging educational resources that enhance learner engagement.

Branding & Communication

  • Ensure all designs consistently follow EduSpots’ brand guidelines and visual identity.
  • Adapt design outputs to suit different audiences and communication channels.
  • Support public relations campaigns and fundraising initiatives through creative visual materials.

Project Coordination

  • Manage design workflows and deliver projects within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including education, operations, fundraising, and communications to understand design requirements.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and incorporate feedback effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in graphic design or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality design work across multiple platforms.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects and visual communication skills.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong skills in Canva, digital content creation, illustration, and image editing.
  • Solid understanding of typography, layout design, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience producing professional materials such as reports, guides, and handbooks.

  • Ability to deliver polished work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
