Job Description

Main Duties

  • Develop and maintain APIs for web, mobile and third party applications; Write efficient database queries and optimize database performance.
  • Integrate third party services into our in-house applications.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Work with Product, Design and other Engineering teams to develop products that solve the right problems;
  • Partake in scrum events.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Build efficient, testable and reusable PHP codes.

Qualification/Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
  • Proven expertise in Laravel and PHP.
  • Experience using SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
  • Good understanding of API design and documentation.
  • Experience with code versioning tools like Git.
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills, to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
