1. Supervising and Managing Outsourced Security Guards
• Manage and lead the security team by assigning and rotating duty rosters, monitoring performance,
• Enforcing compliance with security protocols, and providing guidance during routine and high-risk situations
• Ensure continuous competence through regular training, coaching, and skills assessments in line with best security practices
2. Security Procedural Compliance
• Enforce strict adherence to all security procedures and protocols.
• Control access points and prevent unauthorized entry.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and surveillance systems.
• Ensure regular patrols and effective visitor management.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, evacuation plans, and response.
• Ensure prompt, accurate incident reporting.
• Enforce compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements
3.Security Incident Response
• Respond promptly and decisively to all security incidents.
• Assess incidents and work with Supervisor to determine appropriate response actions.
• Deploy security personnel and contain the emergency.
• Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Document incidents accurately, including actions taken and evidence gathered.
• Monitor incident resolution and provide timely updates to supervisor.
• Ensure post-incident investigation and implementation of corrective measures
4.Reporting and Documentation
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely security records for compliance, audits, and investigations.
• Ensure all reports are properly filed, accessible, and securely stored.
• Prepare and review incident, patrol, and shift reports.
• Maintain visitor, asset security, surveillance, and alarm logs.
• Document emergency responses, investigations, and follow-up actions
5.Security System Oversight
• Conduct regular asset inspections, system checks, and report findings to supervisor.
• Ensure security systems are functional, escalate maintenance issues, and recommend upgrades.
• Conduct routine security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments to align security objectives and resolve security concerns.
• Conduct monthly ROW patrols and submit report where required
• Provide operational support to Marine Specialists within the assigned jurisdiction
Working Experience and Educational/Academic Background
A Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized university in Security, Criminology or any relevant discipline.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a security supervisory operational role; prior service as a security officer required. Oil & gas industry experience with knowledge of security and HES processes is an advantage.
Professional Security qualification (Certified Security Specialist (CSS), Professional Security Management Certification (PSMC), Chartered
Security Professional, (CSP). Security Officers (CLSO), COP, CSMP, and or any physical security management training would be added advantage.
