Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

• The Enterprise Architect (Technology) is responsible for developing current & future state capability architecture within the technology domain and ensuring the organization’s technology solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
• This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining architecture models that address business needs, contributing to the efficient, secure, and compliant delivery of technology solutions at the capability level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This role supports the Senior Enterprise Architect (Technology lead) by focusing on the development of capability-level architecture models, ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• The Technology Architect must be proficient in EA modelling tools, diagramming, and security frameworks, contributing to the secure and efficient delivery of technology solutions.

JOB CONTEXT

Architecture Development

• Review and interpret business requirements (documents, user stories) into architecture artefacts, ensuring that proposed solutions meet business and security needs.
• Design and develop current & future state technology capability architectures that align with enterprise standards and segment objectives.
Architecture Coordination & Compliance
• Coordinate architecture change requests to ensure integration with existing systems and compliance with security protocols.
• Ensure that technology architectures adhere to internal governance frameworks and regulatory standards.
• Continuously work with stakeholders to mature technology capabilities & platforms improving efficiency, reducing cost & technical debt, and providing leadership with relevant and reliable information to support investment decisions and optimization efforts.
• Use EA tools (e.g., Orbus iServer), diagramming tools, and modelling languages like ArchiMate to create and manage architecture models and flow diagrams.
Support & Optimization
• Assist in continuously optimizing technology architectures, focusing on scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Provide advisory support and respond to requests for architecture work, ensuring that solutions align with business goals.
• Deliver on assigned strategy and execution tasks in support of enterprise transformation initiatives.

Qualification Required & Experience

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND/WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 5–8 years of experience in technology, security, or enterprise architecture roles in large-scale environments.
• Certification in TOGAF, ITIL, PMP or equivalent Enterprise Architecture and certifications is an added advantage.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Enterprise Architect (Technology) Expertise: Strong knowledge in infrastructure planning, cloud & solution architecture, and emerging technology trends.
Enterprise Architecture Tools: Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture tools such as Orbus iServer and diagramming/modelling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Visio).
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional technology and security teams.
• Requirement Analysis: Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into architecture models.
• Governance and Compliance: Knowledge of governance frameworks, with an emphasis on maintaining security and regulatory compliance.
• Optimization: Experience in optimizing technology infrastructure for performance, scalability, and security.
• Analytical Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to resolve complex technology and security issues.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to interact and influence senior stakeholders across both business and technical domains.
• Results-oriented: Focused on achieving results in high-pressure environments, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering secure technology solutions.
