Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Agri-Finance Associate to support the expansion and execution of inclusive finance strategies that improve access to capital for underserved rural populations particularly young women and  marginalized groups in agriculture. The ideal candidate will help bridge the gap between finance and development – structuring blended capital solutions, strengthening partnerships across agribusinesses, financial institutions, and development actors, and driving scalable financing models for inclusive and sustainable agricultural growth. This role requires deep expertise in agricultural finance, blended finance, and impact investing, with the ability to unlock private capital, design catalytic funds, and ensure continuity beyond donor – supported phases.


Key Responsibilities

Develop investment dashboards and tools for tracking fund performance, job creation, and leverage metrics.

Design and structure blended and catalytic financing vehicles to mobilize private, public, and development capital for the agricultural sector.

Support the deployment and monitoring of FILMA’s financing facility, ensuring timely access to working capital, input credit, and insurance for LMAs.

Engage with financial institutions, agribusinesses, and investors to co-develop risk-sharing and credit enhancement mechanisms. 

Lead business development and co-investment efforts to crowd in private sector capital and align with FILMA’s blended finance framework.

Provide technical support for partner due diligence, onboarding, and capacity-building for inclusive product design.

 Work with the MEL and Communications teams to capture financial and impact outcomes that demonstrate systemic change.

Support design and rollout of micro-insurance, savings, and pension schemes for rural actors.

Represent Temple and FILMA in sector dialogues, investment forums, and stakeholder roundtables.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in finance, Agribusiness, Development Economics or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in agricultural finance, blended finance, private sector development, or fund structuring.
  • Experience in designing or managing investment funds or facilities targeting agribusinesses or rural enterprises.
  • Competency in digital inclusive finance would be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive finance models, VSLAs, and informal financial systems.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement, business development, and co-financing arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of rural lending practices and inclusive financial services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analytics or visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to field locations in rural Ghana.

Preferred Attributes

  • Proven track record in mobilizing or managing catalytic or blended capital.
  •  Familiarity with Ghana’s agricultural value chains and financial inclusion ecosystem.
  •  Experience with DFIs, donor-funded programs, and ESG-aligned investments.
  •  Strong leadership, coordination, and project management skills.
  •  Passion for gender-lens investing and inclusive systems transformation.
