Job Description
The Operations Associate is a cross-cutting position that streamlines key administrative functions, creating efficiencies essential to the program’s rapidly expanding operations. The Operations Associate provides vital support to the wider EduFinance team and will report directly to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate is extremely organised, likes to problem solve small and large challenges, is able to maintain a good rapport with all levels of seniority in the business and is known as the person that catches the details others miss. Please note, this is a maternity cover position.
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review and submit contract requisitions & related forms and checks to ensure procurement policy compliance. Monitor progress of contracts across workflow steps.
- Support the development/ review contractor SoW and budget across all EduFinance Departments
- Coordinate the onboarding process of new team members, using the onboarding checklist, in coordination with the line manager
- Manage company asset register
- Conduct onboarding trainings as required
- Coordinate staff exit procedures with line manager, including asset handoff and tracking, office equipment, IT coordination, etc.
- Submit purchase order requests and track approval flow through Concur
- Review and submit invoices, ensuring accuracy and support with provided payment confirmations to staff and vendors as needed
- Review expense reports of all field staff in a timely manner
- Support with team travel requests when required, including booking flights and accommodation in accordance with company policies

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration
- At least 2 years’ experience in an admin or Operations role
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- High level of digital literacy and willingness to learn new digital tools
- Experience working in a global team is a bonus
- Self-motivated and reliable, taking full accountability for work and follow-through
- Passionate about Opportunity’s mission. Able to promote and communicate the organization’s goals and objectives to external and internal stakeholders.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Written and verbal fluency in English required, fluency in French or Spanish desirable.
