Work & Experience
Adapted methodology for fabrication and analysis of nano-particle enhanced biosensors. Applied sonoelectric deposition to create an improved transduction platform coated with platinum nanoparticles. Performed Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) on platinum electrode to measure surface charge.
Created a novel thin film nano-composite forward osmosis membranes that were surface mortified with a polymer solution to alleviate membrane debris during the ultrafiltration of treat shale oil produced water. Assembled an electro-spinner that created the nano-fibrous substrates for the PEI membranes. Collected data and applied methodology for created nano-fibrous substrates to related material of treated shale oil PW in an NSF funded project (1914692).
Development and installation of $1.8 million water recycling system utilizing ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. Saved more than $150,000 by assembling a Mass Flow Diagram of water and chemistry in the paint pretreatment areas and identified and drafted future equipment space using AutoCAD. Negotiated systems specs/priorities, including budgetary implications between suppliers, the Maintenance, Production, and Material groups. Performed and managed a Quality Audit evaluation for counter measure in Quality Management System (QMS). Upgraded and verified system development. Systemically engineered database to reflect daily operations of processes and procedures. Utilized CATIA V6 to draft and design new fixture for sedan line.
Optimized e-waste recycling by creating and executing design of experiments to understand glass recovery in electronic waste while identifying ways to improve the process. Researched recycled sources for raw materials composed in glass across products. Developed sample component to investigate behavior of various e-waste joining technologies to understand behavior within a traditional e-waste shredder.
Collaborates with a cross– functional team to procure mechanical machined parts, oversees product maintenance and inspection, and present to project stakeholders to evaluate the product maturity against program milestones. Analyzes manufacturability and implements improvements for piece parts through vendor interface and feedback for development of component drawings and inspection methods. Manages piece parts during multiple production phases across multiple weapons programs, meeting demanding build schedules while maintaining product quality. Serves as liaison for purchased product supplier by providing product support, implementing inspection improvements, and keeping their quality metrics above commodity team goals. Serves as Product Engineer for GTS components. Coordinates with Design Agencies to author ACOs, SXRs and other authorizations to release product holds. Responsible for scheduling DA/vendor/engineer/inspector meetings to resolve nonconforming defects. Active participant in the Gas transfer systems commodity team. Project Lead for PRT tasked with qualification/re-qualification of multiple components. Serves as Purchase Product Engineer for multiple uniquely manufactured components supporting JTN and machined PRTs. Earned DFSS certification for creating a standardize process for Minimum order quantity implementation, resulting in a cost savings of more than $102,000. Coordinates with multiple KCNSC SMEs to solve drawing design flaws. Of the minimum required goal cost savings of $50,000 in the Fiscal Year of 2024, I saved almost triple the amount.
