About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring effective inventory management, coordinating the receipt and dispatch of goods, and maintaining accurate stock records. Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse Operations: Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of materials and supplies.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure regular stock counts and reconciliations.
• Receiving and Dispatch: Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documents, and ensure that outgoing materials are properly authorised and documented.
• Stock Control: Implement effective stock control procedures to minimise losses, prevent stock discrepancies, and reduce wastage.
• Team Supervision: Assign duties, monitor staff performance, and ensure warehouse personnel adhere to established procedures and operational standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of stock movements, goods received, goods issued, and warehouse transactions. Prepare periodic inventory and operational reports as required.
• Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures, proper material handling practices, housekeeping standards, and applicable workplace requirements.
• Storage and Organisation: Ensure materials are properly labelled, stored, and arranged for easy identification, accessibility, and preservation.
• Operational Coordination: Work closely with procurement, logistics, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure timely availability and distribution of materials.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, strengthen inventory controls, and enhance the use of warehouse resources.
