Organization: Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) – Ghana Office
In Collaboration With: Ministry of Health, Ghana
Position: Project Officer
Number of Positions: 1
Location: 9th Floor, Advantage Place, 7th Avenue, Ridge West, Accra
Working Hours: 5 Days per Week (08:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Expected Salary: USD $400 (Inclusive of all applicable taxes)
Employment Period: Until 31st December 2026 (with a six-month probation period and annual contract renewal based on performance evaluation)

The Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) is a public organization under the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea, dedicated to improving global healthcare systems through international cooperation and sustainable health development initiatives.

KOFIH has been operating in Ghana since 2013, implementing impactful projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Ghana. The organization supports the country’s healthcare sector through initiatives in:

  • Primary Healthcare
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Health Insurance
  • Healthcare Personnel Training
  • Tertiary Healthcare Support
  • Health Systems Strengthening

To support its ongoing operations in Ghana, KOFIH is seeking a highly motivated and qualified professional to fill the position of Project Officer.

Position Summary

The Project Officer will provide administrative and operational support to ensure the effective implementation and coordination of KOFIH Ghana’s projects and office activities. The successful candidate will assist with office administration, project coordination, financial and asset management, procurement activities, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to the successful delivery of healthcare initiatives across Ghana.

This role requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills, strong administrative capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a professional international development environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Project & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative and operational support for office activities and project implementation.
  • Assist in budget management and financial administration.
  • Support procurement processes in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and project documentation.
  • Assist with office asset management and inventory control.
  • Support human resource administration where required.

Project Coordination

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities.
  • Support project implementation and reporting.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and project activities.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and implementation.

Public Relations & Office Visibility

  • Support initiatives that promote KOFIH Ghana’s visibility and public engagement.
  • Assist with communication materials and organizational activities.
  • Represent the organization professionally when interacting with stakeholders.

Field Support

  • Support project management activities that require regular field visits.
  • Participate in project monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Prepare reports following field assignments and project engagements.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a recognized institution.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent English writing and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and coordination abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following will have an added advantage:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in administration, project coordination, public health, or a related field.
  • Previous work experience within:
    • Hospitals
    • Government institutions
    • International organizations
    • Development agencies
  • Experience supporting donor-funded or health-related projects.

Employment Details

  • Employment Period: Until 31st December 2026
  • Probation: Six (6) months
  • Annual contract renewal will be based on performance evaluation.
