Our client, a fast-growing agribusiness specializing in commercial beekeeping, honey production and processing, herbs production, value addition, and distribution, is seeking a competent Human Resource Officer.

The successful candidate will establish and manage the HR functions.

Key Responsibilities
βœ“ Coordinate recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction, and deployment.
βœ“ Maintain confidential employee records, contracts, and personnel files.
βœ“ Implement HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
βœ“ Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary processes, and workplace concerns.
βœ“ Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and teamwork across all operational sites.
βœ“ Monitor workplace relations and advise management on employee-relations risks.
βœ“ Coordinate probation reviews, performance planning, and appraisals.
βœ“ Support payroll by verifying attendance, leave, overtime, allowances, and employee changes.
βœ“ Administer leave and authorized absences.
βœ“ Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws, occupational safety requirements, and company policies.
βœ“ Support workforce planning, job descriptions, staffing structures, training, and development.
βœ“ Assist supervisors in applying HR policies consistently.
βœ“ Prepare HR reports on staffing, attendance, recruitment, grievances, turnover, and performance.
βœ“ Support employee welfare, engagement, workplace communication, and other HR/administrative duties.

Qualifications & Requirements

βœ“ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
βœ“ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
βœ“ Knowledge of the Employment Act, 2007, and Kenyan labour laws.
βœ“ Membership in the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
βœ“ CHRP-K certification is an added advantage.
βœ“ Experience supporting field-based, agricultural, manufacturing, or geographically dispersed teams is an added advantage.
βœ“ Knowledge of payroll administration, performance management, employee records, MS Office, and HRIS.
