Purpose of the Role
To execute electrical preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance, overhaul activities, and
equipment modifications within approved operational budgets, ensuring the continuous availability,
reliability, and performance of plant and equipment across Packaging, Brewhouse, Cellars, Utilities, and
Buildings to support production targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
by promoting a zero-harm culture, adhering to all site safety rules, operational procedures, and
safe work practices, and proactively challenging unsafe behaviors and practices. - Ensure the production of safe, high-quality products by complying with all Food Safety and
Quality Management System requirements and procedures. - Provide effective maintenance support for assigned plant and equipment through operation,
cleaning, execution of maintenance schedules, breakdown response, performance monitoring,
and timely completion of all related process activities. - Maximize plant availability and operational efficiency through the effective execution of planned
preventive maintenance activities. - Optimize product quality through continuous monitoring, attention to detail, and adherence to
quality and process control standards, ensuring right-first-time performance and prompt resolution
of non-conformances. - Manage maintenance materials, components, and spare parts effectively, ensuring proper stock
accountability and utilization of issued materials. - Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by supporting colleagues during breakdowns, maintenance
activities, and troubleshooting equipment. - Support the Shift Manager in delivering production plans, achieving key performance targets, and
meeting agreed customer service levels. - Participate actively in training and development initiatives to enhance individual and team
capabilities while supporting knowledge sharing and the development of colleagues and
contractors. - Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare required reports, including status reports,
check sheets, condition monitoring reports, and other technical documentation.
Key Requirements – Qualifications, Experience, Skills etc.
- BSc or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics
Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. - Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in operations, maintenance, process control, or
performance management within a brewery, beverage, food manufacturing, or FMCG
environment. - Good understanding of electrical maintenance principles, fault diagnosis, and industrial
automation systems. - Knowledge of preventive maintenance, continuous improvement methodologies, and problem-
solving techniques. - Working knowledge of Permit-to-Work systems, SHE policies, statutory requirements, and
responsibilities. - Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), preferably SAP, will
be an advantage. - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance
documentation.
