Position Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding market presence across solar PV, battery energy storage solutions, and broader clean energy projects. The role requires a strong understanding of the energy industry, complex sales cycles, and stakeholder engagement across commercial, industrial, utility, and EPC markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the renewable energy, solar PV, energy storage, and distributed energy markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, EPC contractors, utilities, commercial and industrial customers, investors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Generate and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities from lead generation through to contract execution.
- Promote and sell renewable energy solutions, including solar modules, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and integrated energy solutions.
- Develop market-entry and growth strategies for existing and emerging territories.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract development.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, regulatory developments, and customer requirements within the energy sector.
- Collaborate with technical, engineering, product, and operations teams to develop tailored customer solutions.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, and commercial submissions.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and CRM records.
- Support strategic partnerships and long-term growth initiatives across utility-scale, commercial, and industrial renewable energy projects

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the renewable energy, solar, power, or energy storage sectors.
- Demonstrated experience selling technical or energy-related solutions.
- Strong network within the renewable energy industry would be advantageous.
- Experience engaging with EPC contractors, developers, utilities, commercial and industrial clients, or large-scale energy users.
