Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Carry out risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international HSE standards.
- Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare detailed reports.
- Maintain HSE records, statistics, permits, and documentation.
- Monitor the use and condition of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure proper usage.
- Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employee participation in safety programs.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including drills, first aid, and fire safety measures.
- Monitor environmental aspects such as waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
- Review and approve work permits for high-risk activities such as work at height, hot work, lifting operations, and confined space entry.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and contractors on HSE matters.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and clients.
- Support management in achieving organizational HSE objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
