Job Description

Role Overview

African Aspirations (AA) is seeking a Head of Client Engagement to ensure every client receives exceptional experience from proposal to final delivery. The role oversees Client Onboarding, Engagement Planning, Project Management, Quality Assurance and Relationship Management across all of AA’s divisions (Consulting, Funding, Valuation and Business Brokerage/M&A).

The successful can didate will work closely with Partners, Engagement Managers and Analysts to translate new business opportunities into successful client engagements, ensure that projects are delivered on time and, most importantly, that the Client is adequately engaged and informed on progress and challenges along the project delivery cycle.

This is a full-time position working out of African Aspirations’ office in Osu, Accra, Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary executive contact for active clients.
  • Responsibilities include onboarding, check-ins, monitoring milestones and obtaining feedback.

Engagement Management

  • Oversee AA’s entire portfolio of engagements across divisions.
  • Responsibilities include Project Management, Timeline Management and Risk Management.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all client deliverables meet AA’s standards.
  • Responsibilities include reviewing and approving materials delivered to clients and ensuring consistency in methodology, branding and professional quality.

Leadership

  • Lead and influence multidisciplinary engagement teams across grade levels to ensure client focus.
  • Responsibilities include coaching Engagement Managers and Analysts, supporting professional development and building a high-performance culture.

Critical Skills & Soft Attributes

  • Comfortable with holding people accountable to their commitments.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the desire to understand how and why things work.
  • Versatility and ability to deliver on multiple client deliverables at the same time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Ideal Profile

  • Someone who balances respect, gravitas, confidence and the ability to connect with people.
  • Someone with credibility and subject matter expertise in any aspect of business (lawyer, accountant, banker, customer service officer, etc.).
  • Someone with strong Project Management experience and familiarity with Project Management tools and software.
  • Professional designations in Project Management will be a significant advantage.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) years of professional work experience.
  • Master’s Degree in a credible field.
    • A Master’s Degree is considered a significant advantage.
