Job Description
About Nexus BI
Nexus BI Advisory is a fast-growing start-up business solution, management advisory and consulting firm. We
provide regulatory compliance, preparation of financial statements, auditing, payroll management, business
development, and human resource management services to a growing portfolio of small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs). As a start-up, we offer a dynamic environment where your work has direct, visible impact
and real room to grow with the firm.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and capable Senior Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to
the Managing Partner, the successful candidate will supervise and coordinate the work of our team of analysts,
ensuring the timely, accurate and high-quality delivery of all client engagements across the firm’s service lines.
The Senior Manager will also lead the firm’s business development drive — actively sourcing new clients, and
will, when required, serve as company secretary to some of our SME clients. This is a senior, client-facing
position that calls for strong leadership, sharp analytical judgement, and a solid grasp of compliance and the
law.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor and coordinate the firm’s team of analysts, overseeing workflow, quality and
deadlines. - Review and ensure the accuracy of financial statements, compliance filings, audit work, and payroll
output before submission. - Oversee regulatory compliance engagements, ensuring all client obligations are met accurately and
on time. - Report directly to the Managing Partner on team performance, project status, risks and client
matters. - Lead the firm’s business development, actively seeking and winning new clients, preparing
proposals, and strengthening existing client relationships. - Serve as company secretary to selected SME clients when required, supporting meetings, records,
statutory filings and corporate governance matters. - Provide expert guidance on commercial, contract and labour-law matters affecting the firm and its
clients. - Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and well-structured reports for clients and
partners. - Uphold professional standards, confidentiality and the firm’s quality and ethical guidelines always.
- Support recruitment, training and performance management of the analyst team.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation, with the ability to explain complex
matters clearly. - Strong data analytics skills, able to interpret, analyse and present data to support decision-making.
- Solid compliance expertise, a thorough understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Sound working knowledge of commercial and contract law and labour law.
- Proven leadership and team-supervision ability, with strong organisational and time-management
skills. - An approachable, collaborative manner with the team, firm but fair, able to build strong working
relationships while holding everyone to high standards. - Sound knowledge of financial reporting, auditing and payroll processes.
- High attention to detail, sound judgement, and strong problem-solving ability.
- Integrity, discretion and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting, analytics and office software.
Qualifications & Experience - A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
Professional certifications in Finance (e.g., FMVA) and Data Analytics are an added advantage. - Significant relevant experience in advisory, accounting, audit, compliance or a related professional
services environment, including team-leadership experience. - A demonstrable track record of supervising teams and delivering quality client work.
What We Offer - A senior leadership role with real impact and room to grow.
- A competitive remuneration package.
- A professional, supportive and growth-oriented working environment.
