Role Description The Electrical Field Engineer (Renewables) will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of renewable energy and electric vehicle supply equipment systems on client sites.
This full-time, on-site role based in Accra involves conducting electrical assessments, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with local standards and safety regulations. The role includes troubleshooting electrical systems, coordinating with project managers and technicians, and providing technical support during project planning and execution. The Electrical Field Engineer (renewables) will also collaborate with partners and clients to optimize system performance, support training activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of Zerosol Africa’s zero-emission solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply these principles in field environments.
- Candidates should possess skills in Solar installation and power distribution related to renewable residential, commercial & industrial building setups.
- Candidates should also possess competencies in Electrical Design, including interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Relevant degree (HND, BTech, BSc) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; professional certifications in renewable energy or power systems are an advantage.
- Experience working on-site in field engineering roles, preferably within renewable energy, power distribution, or energy infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and related software, with solid problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites within Ghana and West Africa as required, and to work in outdoor and operational environments.
