Job Description
Our client, a growing educational and technology organization, is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Instructor to teach and mentor students on cloud computing, cloud infrastructure management, DevOps practices, and practical strategies for becoming successful Cloud Engineers.
This role is ideal for an experienced cloud professional who is passionate about teaching and sharing real-world industry knowledge with aspiring cloud engineers, DevOps professionals, and infrastructure specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging training sessions on cloud engineering concepts, cloud infrastructure, and modern deployment practices.
- Teach students how to design, deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-based systems and services.
- Guide students on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Share practical experiences, case studies, and real-world cloud engineering project insights with students.
- Teach students cloud architecture, virtualization, networking, storage, security, and scalability concepts.
- Train students on DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation best practices.
- Develop instructional materials, labs, coding exercises, presentations, and hands-on cloud projects.
- Facilitate workshops, live demonstrations, and project-based learning sessions.
- Mentor students on cloud certifications, portfolio development, and career pathways within cloud engineering.
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, DevOps tools, cloud security practices, and infrastructure trends.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4–5 years of practical experience in cloud engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or systems administration roles.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, cloud architecture, networking, and infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Git, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and engage students effectively.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA or Canada.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or similar are an advantage.
- Experience delivering technical training, workshops, or mentoring programs.
- Familiarity with Linux systems, serverless computing, and cloud-native application development.
- Experience building or managing production cloud environments.
